Mika Singh's manager was found dead on February 3 at the playback singer's studio in Andheri, Mumbai. Police on Friday said that Saumya Khan allegedly killed herself after consuming sleeping pills. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Inspector P Bhosle of the Versova police station said that that the body had been found in the living room on the first floor of Singh's studio at around 10.15 pm. Elaborating further, he added that she was under depression and died due to drug overdose. He also stated that the post-mortem reports did not suggest any foul play.
''The incident happened on February 2. We have not found any foul play in the case and have registered an accidental death report,'' Bhosle said.
He also said that was under depression owing to family problems. The manager reportedly returned from a party at around 7 am. Her death came to light when she did not come out till late in the evening. At around 10:15 pm, some workers went upstairs to inquire and they found Khan lying motionless. She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead.

Mika had taken to his social media handles to share the news of her sad demise. ''Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh. Very sad to Announce that ,Our dear @saumya.samy has left us for heavenly abode, leaving behind with us her Beautiful memories she left this world at a very young age. May God bless her soul rest in peace . My heartfelt condolences to her family and her husband @official_zohebkhan,'' he wrote.

On 13 February, her husband took to Instagram to inform people about the prayer meeting to be held at Kandivali on 16 February.
