My mother is my inspiration: Aamir Khan

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on Monday told his mother was an inspiration for him.

"My mother is my inspiration," the 51-year-old actor said at an event organised by Marathi daily 'Lokmat'.

Lokmat on Monday organised an all-women wrestling competition in Mumbai. 

He felicitated the winner of the competition and shared his experiences of his upcoming movie "Dangal".

Lokmat Group Chairman Vijay Darda was present on the occasion.

"I have wonderful memories associated with this city since 14 years of age when I came to Kolhapur for a tennis competition and won it too," recalled the "Lagaan" star.

Darda praised Aamir for the good work he is doing for the society by making films having social message.

"Lokmat also has been instrumental in creating platforms for empowerment of women, young generation and others," said the Chairman. 

Aamir also unveiled trophy for Lokmat's upcoming initiative 'Maharashtra's Stylish Awards'.
