Arjun Kapoor-Parineeti Chopra’s Namaste England released on Friday with huge expectation by the audience as the movie is the sequel of 2007 super hit film ‘Namastey London’ which featured Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar. But, as per the first day collection of the movie, it is being reported that the movie could not manage to impress its viewers as well as the critics. The movie was released alongside Ayushmaan Khurrana-Sanya Malhotra starrer ‘Badhai Ho’.
As per a latest report by Bollywood Hungama, Namaste England has managed to bag just Rs 1.9 crore on its opening day which is quite short with its competing release ‘Badhai Ho’ which earned Rs 7.29 crore on its first day.

With the positive word-of-mouth among the audience, ‘Badhai Ho’ is expected to do good business in the weekend as well while Namaste England has garnered mostly mixed to negative reviews.
Namaste England is a sequel to 2007 release which revolves around a married couple Param (Arjun Kapoor) and Jasmeet (Parineeti Chopra) where Parineeti is a goal oriented girl who leaves her husband and flew to London to pursue her dreams. Arjun follows her and makes every possible effort to win her back.
While, ‘Badhai Ho’ deals with a middle-aged couple Priyamvada Kaushik (Neena Gupta) and Jeetender Kaushik (Gajraj Rao) who lives in New Delhi with their two grown-up children. One day, they reveal to their family that priyamvada is expecting a child leaving everyone in their family in utter shock. And, how they deal with such situation in the society compiles the whole story.
‘Badhai Ho’ features Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Shardul Rana and Sanya Malhotra in significant roles.
