Nana Patekar's lawyer send a legal notice to Tanushree Dutta for false accusations

Veteran actor Nana Patekar has sent a legal notice to Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta, his lawyer Rajendra Shirodhkar said on Monday. Tanushree Dutta has accused Nana Patekar of alleged sexual harassment and intimidation on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleasss’. In a recent interview, she even revealed that he demanded to do an intimate dance step with her. However, Nana has declined the allegations and sent a legal notice owing to false accusations.

“A legal notice has already been sent to her and she will receive it today. The notice that I have sent is a standard one — denying allegations and asking for an apology,” said Shirodkar, according to a Firstpost report. When the news that journalist Janice Sequeira, assistant director Shyni Shetty, and actor Daisy Shah had supported Tanushree's stand was surfaced, the lawyer asserted that Nana will soon hold a press conference.

The lawyer added that he cannot speak much at the moment. He suggested that he has absolutely no idea why the actor has brought up the topic now. He said, "I have absolutely no idea why she is talking about it now but she may be having some reasons to do so. Nana will come to town (Mumbai) today or tomorrow and address a press conference. Let him come back and talk, that is the best way to know. Tomorrow he should be definitely here."

Giving another edge to the controversy, Actress Tanushree Dutta claims she hasn't received any legal notice from Nana Patekar, whom she has accused of harassing her on a film set 10 years ago.

Tanushree Dutta said that she is in talks with her lawyers and that Nana Patekar needs to "step up his game". "Given the recent developments, I am putting together a team of lawyers and advocates to defend my interests. Also, contrary to claims made by Nana Patekar's lawyer, I have not received any legal notice. So bluffmaster Gogo needs to step up his game a bit here," the 34-year-old actress told ANI on Saturday.

Former Miss India and Bollywood actor, Dutta has spent the last couple of days giving interviews about the harassment she faced 10 years ago at the hands of veteran actor Nana Patekar. According to the actor, she was a part of a song sequence along with Patekar, where the latter tried to touch her inappropriately.
