As the nation celebrates 70 years of free India's first Gold, country's sports legends share their "feeling of Gold."
India today celebrates the first ever Gold medal won by the nation in 1948. Marking the iconic win, sports legends like Kapil Dev, PR Sreejesh, Sunil Chhetri, Sania Mirza, Abhinav Bindra, Vijender Singh, Deepak Mallik, PV Sindhu, Balbir Singh and Sachin Tendulkar shared the pride and happiness of witnessing the tri colour flying high after winning Gold in a special video posted on social media.
"After winning the gold medal, it felt like as our flag is flying high, I am soaring with it too," Balbir Singh, hockey star, who was among the ones who formed the legendary team that won India's first Gold, said.
Akshay Kumar who would be essaying the role of Tapan Das who is the driving force behind the victory of Gold, shared the video, saying, "Celebrate 70 years of free India's first Gold by knowing how it feels by the history makers themselves. #FeelingOfGold @therealkapildev @16Sreejesh @chetrisunil11 @Abhinav_Bindra @boxervijender @MirzaSania @Pvsindhu1 #DeepakMalik #BalbirSingh @sachin_rt"

Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar tweeted, "I always get goosebumps whenever our national anthem is played. I guess every sportsman feels the same intensity, a sense of great pride ... the #FeelingOfGold"
Also celebrating the victory, Twitter India too has extended its support to the film by introducing Gold emoji.
The film Gold revolves around a man who dreams to win free India's first Gold in Hockey and his struggles to form a team to make his dreams true.
The trailer evoked the inner patriotism of the audience with the heart-tugging scenes. Recently, the makers shared another trailer for the IMAX format showcasing the importance of unity within the team.

India won its first Gold medal as an independent nation at the Olympics on August 12, 1948. Celebrating this historic occasion, the makers are all set to release the film on August 15 this year.
The film has been shot across UK and India, capturing the fascinating aspects of the pre-independent era.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal, Gold promises power packed performances by an ensemble cast.
