Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Saturday supported the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes as an effort curb black money and corruption. 

Speaking to media during a press conference, the Dangal superstar said, “Fight against corruption is far more important than small temporary inconvenience.” 

“I welcome the decision of demonetisation even if it means less box office collections for my film,” said Aamir. 

Aamir Khan’s next movie, based on the life of wrestler Geeta Bhogat’s family,  Dangal is slated to hit the theatres on December 23.
