Remember Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s narrow escape from a crazed fan who pulled the Gangs of Wasseypur actor for a selfie while in Kanpur? The actor, who chose to remain silent about the fan-craze day has finally opened up to the injuries he suffered thereafter the fan dragged the actor by the neck for a selfie.

True to fans’ calling him their beloved actor, Siddiqui went on to say that the encounter was a way of showing their love. “I got injured, got a hand fracture and a muscle pull. But theek hai, kya karein, uska apna tareeka tha (it’s ok, what do we do, it’s their way). Unka pyaar hai. (It’s their love)’’ Siddiqui said according to HT.

The actor talking about his stardom had previously told HT, “I wear similar clothes to those I wore as a junior artist, but today people think my clothes must be fashionable since I am wearing them!” He had added, “Stardom doesn’t suit me. I can play the character of a star very well, though, and you would be convinced that I live that life. I am good with characters.”

Siddiqui, who was last seen in Photograph will be seen next in three upcoming movies, Bole Chudiyan opposite Mouni Roy, No Land’s Man, and Dusty To Meet Rusty.
