Superstar Salman Khan hopes his brother Sohail Khan's directorial venture "Freaky Ali," which Is going to release on the same date as that of Katrina Kaif Sidharth Malhotra starrer "Baar Baar Dekho," does well commercially. Both the projects will hit the screens on September 9.
"It's not a clash. If you (media) want to make it a clashthen make it a clash. We hope Katrina and Sidharth's film also does well. We want both these films to do well," Salman said.
"It's a good day (September 9) to release the film. It's not a 4,000-5,000 screen release film. Both are different kind of movies. I am sure audience will see both," he said. Salman was speaking at the trailer launch of "Freaky Ali"which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role.
Sohail also feels there is enough space for two films. "There is so much crowd and traffic today (referring to film releases on Friday). Every Friday there is some release. But we are banking on the title "Freaky Ali" and it comes on September 9, it is Bakra Eid and it's a long weekend. We planned to release it that way. There is enough space for two films," he said.
The director said both the projects are of different genreand will have their own audience. "I hope that film ('Baar Baar Dekho') by Farhan Akhtarand Riteish Sidhwani (producers) does well and even we do well. Both the films are of different genre. We have got a niche audience and there is good space for both of us," Sohail said
