The cast and crew of of Mission Mangal recently dropped the official trailer of the space drama and the story of the underdogs, working against all odds to make India's biggest research and innovation dream a reality is every bit of inspiring and filled wit awe.
Akshay Kumar who plays the role of Rakesh Dhawan , the head of the ambitious Mars Mission in the movie at the trailer launch event confessed that it is the biggest and best film of his career till date.Â
When asked about its clash with other biggies like Prabhas starrer Saaho and John Abraham's Batla House the actor said that he is not bothered about the commercial sucess of the film but is proud that the film happened. The actor also revealed that sister to director Jagan Shakti, who is a scientist helped the team get into the skin of their charcaters and understand the nuances of the mission.
The movie, first of its kind in Bollywood is based on the historic feat of India's launch of its first satellite to Mars spear-headed by Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) and Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan) together with a team of brilliant scientists successfully sent a satellite to Mars in their very first attempt, a mammoth feat achieved by no other nation.
When asked about Kangana's recent spat with a journalist a song launch event he in a tone of zest said that celebs and media are like husband and wife. He further said that few tiffs are bound to happen but should get resolved fast.
The filmmakers revealed taht the film is based on true events but the charcaters have been fictionalised. The movie has taken some artistis liberties for the dramatic depiction of a historic international event.
A few hours before the trailer launch, the star cast introduced us the the roles or rather leaders of the various aspects of the operation. " We are good to go with #MissionMangal trailer launch at 13.30 hours. I repeat we are good to go with #MissionMangal"Â

Mission Mangal is jointly produced by Fox Star Studios and Cape Of Good Films in collaboration with R Balki. The movie will hit the screens on August 15, 2019.
