Vikas Bahl’s Queen turned out to be a turning point in Kangana Ranaut’s career and there has been no looking back since then. The actress not only won praise from all over but also a National Film Award. But much to your surprise Kangana to played the character of a bride dejected the day of her marriage to perfection was not the first choice of for the role.
It was Kareena Kapoor Khan who was offered the film first. Kareena made the big revelation at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, which she co-attended with her Good Newwz co-star Akshay Kumar. When the host named a number of films including Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Queen, Black, Fashion and Chennai Express saying that they were rejected by Kareena, the actress said that only one or two out of them were correct.
Kareena then revealed that apart from Kaho Na Pyaar hai , Kal Ho Na Ho, she rejected Queen and that she does not regret the decision of rejecting it. The actress added, “I never look back. If I have said no to a film, it was because it did not suit me at that point in time. The last thing I would do is to say no to someone without any reason.”
As we cannot stop ourself from imagining how Kareena would have played the part, we are equally interested to know what is Kangana’s opinion regarding the same.
