Bollywood’s beloved Chandni is no more. It’s hard to believe but Sridevi has left for her heavenly abode on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The ‘Nagina’ actress, an institution in herself, was considered as the first ever female superstar in Bollywood. She was in Dubai attending the marriage of Mohit Marwah when she breathed her last.
The 54-year-old actress had gone to Dubai along with her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi to attend her nephew’s wedding. Her sudden demise has sent the entire nation into shock.
Sridevi made a splashing comeback to the silver screen after a hiatus of 15 years with English Vinglish in 2012. The Gauri Shinde directorial saw the Bollywood diva play the role of a housewife who enrols herself in an English-speaking course.

The Padma Shri awardee was last seen in Mom which hit the silver screens in 2017. The action thriller was 300th film of her illustrious career. The ‘Sadma’ actress was nominated in several coveted film awards shows for her performance in Mom.
Fans were eagerly waiting to see their favourite star back on the big screen. Her fans can see their ‘Hawa Hawaii’ girl one more in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero.
According to media reports, Sridevi is said to have a cameo appearance in the Anand L Rai directorial. Grapevines are buzzing with the rumours that she will share screen space with SRK, Karisma Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Shah Rukh Khan had shared a picture with Sridevi and other actresses last year on social media.
The untimely demise of Sridevi is a great loss for the industry because stars like her not found everyday.
