Veteran actor Om Puri's death has become a buzzing topic in tinselvile and each day is adding up new twist in the case.

As per the recent reports, five days after Puri's death, the police officials have got their hands on his mobile phone and the CCTV footage of his building.

Talking about the same, Subash Khanvilkar, a senior police official, ruled out the possibility of any foul play after examining Puri's mobile phone.

He further asserted that the mobile was neither formatted nor had any suspicious data in it.

"If there was any suspicion in the case, we would have got the orders to collaborate with the Oshiwara police and investigate simultaneously.

Some people are misinterpreting the facts," Khanvilkar was reported as saying.

Besides, the cops have also scrutinized the CCTV footage of the building where Om Puri resided, but they didn't find anything questionable in it.

On the other hand, police has also recorded the statements of Puri's family and close friends, who have mentioned that the veteran actor had an injury in his head.

For the uninitiated, Om Puri had passed away on January 6 at the age of 66.

While, earlier it was reported that the veteran actor had died following a massive heart attack.

However, the postmortem reports suggested that he might have died because of the head injury.

It was speculated that Puri might have got injured after he fell post the cardiac arrest.
