Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat, which was released after several controversies, has set the box office on fire. Despite facing a ban from four states, Padmaavat has witnessed a terrific start at the box office and has done a commendable business within two days of release.
Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmaavat has made a collection of over Rs 50 crores within two days of release.

While the makers are rejoicing the success of the movie, Deepika Padukone is on cloud nine with the magnificent collections of the movie and thanked the audience for all the love.
"it’s never happened before...I cannot even begin to express how happy & proud this makes me feel!!!Thank You for all the love," Deepika tweeted.
Earlier, Deepika had stated that Padmaavat will have 'earth-shattering' collections.
Talking about the movie, the movie is based 16th century poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi's Padmavat and revolves around the Rajput Queen Padmaavati who had committed Jauhar.
Apart from Deepika Padukone, Padmaavat also stars Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Raza Murad, Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari in key roles.
