It has turned out to be a BLOCKBUSTER Monday for movie lovers as the first teaser of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gold’ is finally out. The much-awaited movie has been making waves ever since the poster was released last year.
The teaser of the sports drama will leave you intrigued and at the same time evoke the patriotic in you. The one-minute clip gave us a sneak peek of what we can expect from the film.
The teaser’s opening sequence introduced us to Akshay’s character, who is not happy for playing for the British Hockey team. Akshay plays a ‘crazy Bengali’ character who is passionate about hockey and wants to bring together players under one team who can win a gold at the Olympics.
He is on a mission to lead India at the 1948 Olympics and achieve what the country has never done before as an independent nation- win a gold.
Television’s popular actress Mouni Roy who won millions of hearts as Naagin will make her B-town debut with the film. The dancing diva reportedly plays Khiladi Kumar’s love interest in the flick.

Gold which is based on India’s first Olympic gold medal as a free nation will hit the silver screens on August 15. The shooting for the Reema Kagti directorial was wrapped up in December last year.

The 'Rowdy Rathore' actor is currently gearing up for the release of 'PadMan' which will arrive at the cinema halls on February 9. The social drama also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte.
