Los Angeles:

Co-producer of critically acclaimed movies Rustom, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Pari, Pad Man, Prernaa Arora have made headlines again after her arrest on December 8, 2018. Arora was arrested in December after a complaint was filed against her by Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani and his production company Pooja Entertainment and Films Limited who issued a legal notice against her after she allegedly conned him of Rs 31.6 crore.

The complaint by Vashu Bhagnani alleges that KriArj had offered similar deals to several production houses to finance and release Padman and Kedarnath. However more financial trouble happened between KriArj and John Abraham's production Parmanu when payments worth crores were reportedly delayed.

Following so many allegations and explosive claims of duping filmmakers of money, the Police's Economic Offence's Wing (ECW) is said to have reportedly Prernaa along with her mother and partner Arjun N Kapoor along with her production company KriArj Entertainment shutting down on December 8, last year.

The latest report in Mumbai Mirror suggests that Prernaa's bail application was rejected by the Session's Court after finding shocking evidences in the charge sheet. It alleges that Prerna had taken exorbitant amounts from film financiers for her own personal expenses. The records show that Prernaa bought a bungalow in Khandala worth Rs 8 crore, along with a shopping lost from high-end brands worth Rs 3.40 crore including Rs 88 lakhs on Jimmy Choo shoes, purses and bags, Rs 1.28 crore on Burberry shoes and clothes among other expenses. In addition to the piles of shopping receipt, she is also said to still owe the stores some Rs 29.40 crores.

The charge sheet as per Mumbai Mirror accuses Prernaa of having multiple passports and documents with different birthdates - 1979, 1983, 1986.

Her bail application has been rejected by a session court in Mumbai on Saturday, March 2, says the report.
