'Padmavati' diaries: Is this Shahid Kapoor's 'improved' look for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial?

Shahid Kapoor has begun shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming directorial 'Padmavati'.

The actor is quite excited about the movie where he will be seen playing the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

And Shahid is putting in every single effort for the period drama as this is the first time he will be portraying a historical character on the big screen.

But looks like not just the character, Kapoor will be seen experimenting with his looks as well.

The 'Udta Punjab' actor has recently shared a picture on his Instagram account, where he is seen sporting a new haircut.

Though, Shahid hasn't mentioned anything much about the new look, it is being speculated that this might be the actor's improved look for his role in 'Padmavati'.

The movie happens to be based on Queen of Mewar Rani Padmini featuring Deepilka Padukone in the titular role in 'Padmavati' and Shahid as her hubby.

It also features Ranveer Singh as the lead antagonist Allauddin Khilji.

'Padmavati' is expected to release in December this year.
