Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period drama Padmavati has been undoubtedly the most awaited movie of the year. The constant buzz, controversies, posters and the gripping trailer has managed to keep the movie in the headlines so far.
And while we can't wait for this period drama to hit the silver screen, Padmavati makers have come up with yet another surprise for the audience has they unveiled the first song of the movie.
Titled has 'Ghoomar', the song features Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Ghoomar happens to be a Rajasthani folk dance and DP looks every bit of a royal queen as she is aces the dance form.
The song displays a Padmavati's unconditional love for her husband Maharawal Ratan Singh which is played by Shahid Kapoor who looks all in all smitten by Deepika's charm.
Interestingly, Bhansali and Deepika's collaboration has often given us some of the memorable songs life 'Dhol Baaje' from Raam Leela, 'Deewani Mastani' from Bajirao Mastani.
And Ghoomar too is another royal song in this league. Composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself, the song was penned by A M Turaz and Swaroop Khan jointly.
Notably, the Tamasha actress has admitted that Ghoomar is a very special song for her and was more of a spiritual experience for her.

Also starring Ranveer Singh as antagonist Allauddin Khilji, Padmavati is slated to release on December 1.
