Pakistani actress Mahira Khan mourns Om Puri's death, calls him a 'great artist'

Amidst the furore over Pakistani actors being banned in India, actress Mahira Khan has condoled the demise of Bollywood veteran actor Om Puri.

Om Puri passed away at the age of 66 on Friday after suffering from a massive heart attack.

Mahira took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to pay her tribute to the veteran actor.

She called Om Puri as one of the great artist of the Indian cinema.

Mahira wrote, "The world loses a great artist, truly one of Indian cinema's best. Rest In Peace Om Puri."

The Pakistani actress will soon be making her Big Bollywood debut with superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie 'Raees'.

Helmed by Rahul Dholakia, 'Raees' happens to be a crime thriller which is said to be loosely based on the life of criminal Abdul Latif.

'Raees' is slated to release on January 25 and will witness a showdown with Hrithik Roshan's 'Kaabil'.
