Panga first look: Kangana Ranaut and Jassie Gill share a hearty laugh while watching sunset

Kangana Ranaut, who is currently basking in the success of her last release, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, is all set to star in Ashwini Iyer’s forthcoming film, Panga. The filmmaker took to social media to unveil the first look and captioned it saying, ‘’When notes of a story start coming together and translates into a human expression. Panga releases on 24.01.2020.’’

The photo shows Kangana Ranaut and singer-actor Jassie Gill sharing a hearty laugh while watching the sunset.

Kangana earlier revealed that she found the story of Panga touching. She has been roped to play the national-level kabbadi player for the first time. "My family has been my pillar of strength and have always stood by me in thick and thin. I could really relate to the emotions of the film. Plus, Ashwiny is known for her slice-of-life films and I loved her recent work Bareilly Ki Barfi. Panga is doubly special for me as for the first time, I will play the role of a national-level kabbadi player. That's going to be challenging for sure! I am looking forward to some exciting times with Ashwiny and the Fox Star team ," the Queen actor had said.

Earlier there were reports saying that Ashwiny had made Kangana sign a ‘no-interference’ clause. However, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari had slammed the rumours saying, "As directors and actors our happiness is your appreciation. For me Panga is a story which i wanted to tell. A story very close to my heart and I could see only Kangana bringing life to the character. I request everyone not to be judgemental and together allow me to breathe the air of oneness like the support and love you have given me for my previous films. The news which has been floating around is false and baseless which should not be allowed to grow."

Meanwhile, the film also stars Neena Gupta and Richa Chaddha in prominent roles and is slated to hit the screens on 24 January, 2020.
