Kangana Ranaut is all set to star in Ashwini Iyer’s forthcoming film, Panga in which she will step into the shoes of a Kabaddi player. On Saturday, the makers released a new poster for the film featuring Kangana, Jassie Gill, a child actor who plays their son, and Neena Gupta all sitting on a sofa and enjoying quality time together.
The poster came with a caption, ''Jo sapne dekhte hain woh #Panga lete hain. Inki family ki kahani hum sab se judi hai. **Trailer out on 23rd December 2019**."

The film also stars Richa Chadda and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
Since the last two days, the team of the film has been sharing pictures and posters from the film. In one of the posters, Kangana, looking like a small-town girl in a pink salwar-kameez, is sitting by the side of a railing. In another, she is coyly smiling on a sofa in a sari, teamed with a sweater.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari revealed that Kangana had to put on a few kgs for her role in Panga. ''Kangana had to put on some weight, but her body type is such that it doesn’t look extra on her. She immediately lost the kilos, but has put them back for her next. I don’t know how she does it over and over; I have difficulty losing even once.''
Kangana earlier revealed that she found the story of Panga touching. "My family has been my pillar of strength and have always stood by me in thick and thin. I could really relate to the emotions of the film. Plus, Ashwiny is known for her slice-of-life films and I loved her recent work Bareilly Ki Barfi. Panga is doubly special for me as for the first time, I will play the role of a national-level kabbadi player. That's going to be challenging for sure! I am looking forward to some exciting times with Ashwiny and the Fox Star team
The film is all set to hit the screens on January 24, 2020.
