November 06 saw the clash of films from two distinctly different genres, Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus, heavy voltage historical drama, Panipat and a light hearted comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh.

With both the films boasting of a great ensemble cast, it is now time for the Box Office marks sheet.  According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Kartik Aaryan got an excellent opening and has become the actor’s biggest opener.

Tweeting about it, Taran wrote: “#PatiPatniAurWoh is excellent on Day 1... This, despite competing with another biggie <#Panipat>, which resulted in screens/shows getting divided... Expect solid growth on Day 2 and 3... Emerges #KartikAaryan’s biggest opener... Fri ₹ 9.10 cr. #India biz.”

He further gave a list of day 1 collections of Kartik’s films, which showed the steady fashion in which his films’ day 1 collections have grown.

In comparison, Ashutosh Gowariker’s ambitious Panipat has fared poorly at the ticket counters. An earlier report in Box office India stated that the film had made an estimated earnings of Rs 4-4.25 crore nett range. Panipat is made on a budget of Rs 100 crore and has been released in over 1500 screens in India, and 600 screens worldwide.
