Australia tourism has appointed our very own beautiful Parineeti Chopra as their ambassador, making her the first Indian woman to be a part of the ‘Friend of Australia’ (FOA) advocacy panel.
The elite panel also includes other famous personalities from India such as Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and celebrated cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle.
Parineeti who is fondly called Tisha is known for her travel diaries and visits around 4-5 countries every year.
On being appointed as the ambassador, the 28-year old actress said, ''Australia is one of those places I was waiting to visit as I have heard a lot about it and researched so much. So, when I went there, it was like meeting a star. It was like, you have only seen him on TV or seen in pictures, but now meeting in person. That was the kind of feeling I had, and I felt very loved over there’’.
She further added, ‘’I am extremely delighted today to be appointed as a Friend of Australia, since Australia is one of my favourite holiday destination. I had visited the country last year and I feel there is so much more to explore that one trip is not enough. The country has much more to offer and I’m fascinated by its warm and welcoming people, spectacular nature, unique wildlife, world-class food and wine options and smorgasbord of adventure activities’’.
Meri Pyaari Bindu star is all excited for her next trip to Australia, where she will visit Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ayers Rock. She has also asked everyone to experience the country once in their lifetime as there’s truly nothing like Australia.
In monetary terms, Australia generates USD 1.2 billion approx., which is increasing every year.
On the work front, she is currently busy shooting for Rohit Shetty laughter riot ‘Golmaal Again’ which also features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tabu, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Khemu in the lead roles.
