The international-desi girl has returned back to India from her Hollywood projects and has already started creating buzz with her Bollywood gigs.
Priyanka supposedly has bagged the film - a biopic on late Indian astronaut Kalpana Chawla.
According to the latest reports, the actress has finally come on board for the project that will be mounted on an international scale.
Priyanka's team has already involved themselves in the pre-production work of the film and is gearing up herself for the role.
Debutante director Priya Mishra confirmed the news. "I have been working on it for the past seven years. A new production banner will back the project," Mishra was quoted as saying by Mid-Day.
The first Indian women to conquer space, hailed from Karnal, Haryana, Kalpana flew into space on the shuttle Columbia in 1997. She died on her second expedition along with six other crew members in 2003, in a space shuttle disaster. She had spent 31 days, 14 hours and 54 minutes in space.
Meanwhile Priyanka is busy in promoting her Hollywood debut film 'Baywatch' along with Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron.
Directed by Seth Gordon, Baywatch is the remake of the hit TV show Baywatch which starred David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson who will have special cameos in the movie, is all set to be released on May 26, 2017 in the US.
