Pakistani Ghazal singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been named ambassador to a UK-based charity, British Asian Trust. The organization strives to eradicate poverty and conflicts from South Asia.
The 43-year-old musician took to Twitter to share the news with his fans and followers alongside a video of his performance at the function.
â€œThank you @britishasiantst for the #honour of becoming your #ambassador,â€ wrote Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
The singer also met Prince Charles, which he further added â€œwas (an) overwhelmingâ€ experience for him.

The British Asian Trust was founded in 2007 by the Prince of Wales.Â
