Ajay Devgn's recent release Raid, which deals with the issue of black money, has taken the box office with a storm. The movie had opened to rave reviews from the audience and had made the cash registers jingle on the first day itself.Â
This is not all. Raid has witnessed a solid growth in its opening weekend and has made a collection of Rs 41.01 cr in just three days of release.
Interestingly, with the stupendous collections, Raid has managed to become the second highest weekend of 2018 so far after Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat.
Notably, the Ajay Devgn starrer has managed to surpass the opening weekend collections of Akshay Kumar's PadMan which has been one of the most talked about movies of the year.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the box office collection of the movie.
He wrote, "#Raid gets a THUMBS UP from audiences... Witnesses SOLID GROWTH on Saturday + Sunday... Strong word of mouth helps multiply numbers, after a mediocre start on Friday morning... Emerges SECOND HIGHEST WEEKEND of 2018... Friday 10.04 crore, Saturday 13.86 crore, Sunday 17.11 crore. Total: Rs. 41.01 crore. India biz".
