Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya gets divorced OFFICIALLY

Megastar Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya has finally put a legal end to her wedding seven year wedding with Ashwin on Tuesday after a family court in Chennai granted divorced to them.

Soundarya and Ashwin, who got married in September 2010, reportedly, agreed to part ways with mutual consent.  According to the media reports, it was Soundarya who had filed the mutual consent divorce petition in September last year. The now ex-couple is also said to be living separately for over a year now.

The couple's troubled marriage came into limelight a while ago. As per a reports published in TOI, "Though initially the news of marital discord was being denied by both Soundarya and Ashwin, the fact that Soundarya kept saying that she always felt proud to identify herself as 'Soundarya Rajinikanth', triggered debate over the status of their marriage."

The media reports suggest that Soundarya and Ashwin parted ways due to irreconcilable differences. Reportedly, while the terms of settlement hasn't been revealed, the entire divorce proceedings went on smoothly. Besides, no mention has been made about the custody of Soundarya-Ashwin's four year old son Ved.

On the work front, Soundarya is busy promoting her upcoming directorial 'VIP 2' which stars Dhanush and Kajol in the lead. The movie is slated to hit the screens on July 28 this year.
