Rajkummar Rao is one of the finest talents we have in Bollywood and there’s no doubt to that. The Newton star, who is known for his acting prowess, recently opened up about rejecting a Sushant Singh starrer film.
Grapevines were buzzing with the rumours that Rao chose to walk out of a film offered by Nitesh Tiwari. There were reports that Aligarh actor was not willing to play a second fiddle to Sushant in the Dangal director’s film.
Putting an end to all the speculations, the Bareily Ki Barfi actor said that he was never offered such a film at first place. The talented actor, while talking to ANI, squashed all the rumours and said that he had no idea where these stories came from.
Interestingly, Rajkummar Rao and Sushant Singh Rajput were part of buddy drama film, Kai Po Che. The Abhishek Kapoor directorial which marked the silver screen debut of the Pavitra Rishta star was a box office success.
Both the actors have now gone on to cement their places in the industry on the back of their acting. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see the two stars together in a film since quite some time.
The Citylights actor said that Kai Po Che will remain special for the entire team and the two will collaborate for an exciting project soon, as per the ANI report. The versatile actor also expressed his desire to work with Nitesh Tiwari.
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao is gearing up for the release of Omerta. The Hansal Mehta directorial, based on the life of Omar Saeed Shaikh, will hit the silver screens on April 20.
The National Film Award winner will also feature in Stree and Mental Hai Kya. For the uninitiated, Rao will team up with his Queen co-star Kangana Ranaut in Ekta Kapoor’s Mental Hai Kya. Â
