Rajkummar Rao starrer Newton has become the talk of the town ever since it was selected as India's official entry to Oscars.
The movie has been garnering good reviews from all critics and fans. Rajkummar Rao, known for his acting prowess has once again managed to impress the audiences with his portrayal as Newton.
The political satire started on a slow note at the box office but it picked up on Saturday and witnessed a stupendous growth of 162.5 percent. Newton collected Rs. 96 lakhs on Friday, which went up to Rs. 2.5 crore on the second day.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the box office collection of Newton.

The movie directed by Amit V Masurkar shows the story of an officer who is sent to conduct elections in a naxal-controlled village in Chhattisgarh.
Newton is expected to do well considering the word of mouth publicity and the good reviews it has received.
