Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to star in next film directed by Ayan Mukherjee

'Rockstar' actor Ranbir Kapoor and 'Highway' actress Aliya Bhatt will be starring in the next film dircted by Ayan Mukherjee.

Karan Johar took to twitter to share the news about the film.The movie is expected to release on December 23, 2016.
Alia has always been vocal about her desire to work with the actor.

Kapoor's son has earlier suggested Alia's name to Imtiaz Ali for their upcoming movie, but according to the director Deepika Padukone suited the role better and cast Alia in 'Highway' instead. 

Ranbir and Ayan, who are very close friends, have delivered two successful films together in 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', both for Dharma. The film is titled 'Dragon'.
