Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for the much talked about the biopic on Sanjay Dutt, says that while he is honoured to portray the actor on the big screen, the movie will be his honest portrayal.
The young actor will be seen portraying the role of Dutt in the movie and is making sincere efforts to give the movie his best shot.
While he is quite excited about the movie, RK stated that the movie won't exaggerate Dutt's controversies and will reveal the real person that he has been.
"The audience will get to know the real Sanjay Dutt. There is a certain image about him because of the controversies and his imprisonment. Whatever we have shown in the film is an honest portrayal. There is no exaggeration nor is it a propaganda film. It is not like just because we are making a film, we have to show him in a very positive light," Ranbir was quoted as saying.

The 'Barfi' actor also sang praises for Sanjay Dutt for giving nod for his biopic and called it a brave decision.
"When Sanjay Dutt heard the story, he never asked for a change, which I think is very brave of him," said Ranbir.
He further added saying, "I don't know how someone can live a life which has so many ups and downs. It will take me 100 lives to replicate it... He is very child-like, has a positive outlook in life at the face of hardships and tough times. He also has a very strong will."
Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanjay Dutt's biopic also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal and Sonam Kapoor in key roles.
The movie is being shot in Bhopal.
