Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is one of the most anticipated film of the year and it is becoming unstoppable at the box-office.
Since its release this Friday, the movie has already churned out more than Rs 70 crore in just two days. Now, as per the latest reports, it has crossed Rs 100 mark in its opening weekend.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh predicted the box-office collection of the flick and it was clearly visible with the positive word-of-mouth from the audience and critics.
Taran took his Twitter handle to share the box-office collection of Sanju in three days of its release.
The movie has bagged a whopping sum of more than Rs 120 crore in its opening weekend. Sanju collected Rs 34.75 crore on Friday, Rs 38.60 crore on Saturday and Rs 46.71 crore on Sunday, making it a total of Rs 120.06 crore.
With this mind boggling collection, the biopic has created history and become the biggest opener film for the year 2018, leaving films like Padmaavat, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3 behind.
Sanju has been bankrolled by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani and produced with a huge budget of around Rs 100 crore. The movie is expected to cross Rs 200 crore mark in its first week at the box-office.
Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju also features Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in significant roles.
