Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji made a solid comeback to the silver screen with Yash Raj Films Hichki. The much-awaited film which hit the cinema theatres on Friday has opened on a positive note at the box office.
The Sidharth P Malhotra directorial has earned rave reviews from the critics for its crispy storyline and strong message. Both critics and fans have not been able to stop themselves from gushing over the stupendous performance of Rani.
The Saathiya actress played the role of a teacher Naina Mathur in the film based on Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had.
The film which was released across 961 screens in India minted Rs 3.30 crore on its opening day. Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the drama film on social media.
Fans were eagerly waiting for the film to see their favourite actress and Rani Mukerji didn’t disappoint. The Bengali beauty who was last seen in Mardani impressed the audience with her acting prowess.
The good mouth-of-the-word publicity is expected to help the film set the box office on fire.
