Bollywood actors many times have tried their hands in bringing a desi version of a popular Hollywood movie. Aamir Khan is bringing the Bollywood remake of Laal Singh Chadha and now Mardaani actress Rani Mukherjee wants to revive Charlie’s Angles for Bollywood and has even prepared her wish list for the lead stars in the movie. The actress who is currently promoting her upcoming crime thriller Mardaani 2 revealed, besides herself, she wants Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
Talking about doing action films headlined by women, Rani old Zoom TV “We could do Charlie’s Angels. You know there is a shorter one in the film, I can be that alongside Deepika and Katrina.”
She added that she was impressed with Katrina’s act in Tiger Zinda Hai opposite Salman Khan. “See, I always thought that Katrina is really good in action because her work in Tiger Zinda Hai is something that she was really really good at. I am sure Deepika will equally be excellent. So, I think Deepika and Katrina would be my choices to do action films.”
“I think it’s very important to be fit to be able to do action. Also, action does not only require just doing action, what’s most important is whether you are putting the right emotions with it. So, I think it’s a combination. And especially for films like Mardaani 2, I’d say it’s more of an emotional action rather than just a plain action,” she added.
Bollywood’s fascination with Charlie Angels is not new. Ananya Panday too is a wannabe Charlie’s Angels as she once took to Instagarm to share a picture of her along with Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor captioned the same. The picture was clicked by Shah Rukh who is now trying his hands in several hobbies, photography being one of them.
Well, we now cannot wait for an Indian filmmakers agrees to make a desi version of Charlie’s Angels as he know known who the chief contenders are. Seeing Deepika and Katrina who had buried their differences long back together on screen and with Rani joining forces will indeed be a treat to eyes.
