New Delhi:

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are hitched at the much-awaited ceremony in Italy's Lake Como. The couple, along with their family and close friends, have ensured they look into every detail of the wedding preparations themselves. Security at both venues is on at par with that provided for a meeting of world leaders. The couple has tightened up security at the villa too. There are three levels of security screening to ensure complete privacy at the wedding.

At the CastaDiva resort, any and all guests or visitors have to present a special wristband while security guards cover up the camera lenses on mobile phones with stickers. The e-invite also bears a QR code to be scanned at the entry. On the lake itself, numerous security boats patrol just outside the perimeter of the property to deter snooping photographers or gossip hunters.

The couple has invited only approximately 30 family members and close friends to the wedding in Italy.

Since their wedding was a close-knit affair with close friends and family in attendance, it hasn’t gone down well with the B-towners. Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali were only the select few invited to the wedding from the film fraternity.

Looks like, the limited guest list has also cut-short the amount of wishes from the Bollywood. Ranveer and Deepika’s industry mates like Alia Bhatt, Jaqueline Fernandez, Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and others were not invited to the wedding. The celebrities are seen bailing out on delivering wishes to the newly-married couple on their social media handles.

Karan Johar, Divya Dutta, Nimrat Kaur, and few others were among the ones who showered their blessings on the couple.

So much strict security and strait-laced guidelines are for a reason. Notably, the star couple wants only images clicked by their wedding photographers to get out. They also want to be the first ones to share them with their fans. Hence the big ban on friends and family sharing them.

Singer Harshdeep Kaur, who had performed at the sangeet, had shared a picture from the event, we understand her excitement all too well but to fans' sorrow, the photo was asked to be taken down immediately before its circulation.

While Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are set to tie the knot in India and the wedding venue is in Jodhpur, Deepika and Ranveer chose to take their wedding overseas. This too seems to have gone down the plughole among the celebrities that they are seen avoiding any kind of mention of Deepika and Ranveer on their Twitter handles.
