After facing intense protests over the release, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat has finally opened to magnificent numbers at the box office.
The movie, which has been one of the most controversial movies of India Cinema, has managed to mint over Rs 50 crores in just two days of release.
While Bhansali's magnum opus is expected to get earth-shattering numbers, Padmaavat has managed to beat Prabhas' much successful Baahubali 2 at the box office.
Yes! This happened has happened in the international market when Padmaavat has surpassed the opening day collection of Baahubali 2.
According to the media reports, Padmaavat has opened to a collection of $367k in Australia, while Baahubali 2 earned $212k
Besides, the royal drama starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, has earned $64k in New Zealand and £97 from the preview screenings in UK.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the international box office collection of Padmaavat on micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote,

Indeed, it is a big achievement for Padmaavat given the success saga which was written by Prabhas starrer Baahubali.
On the other hand, the Bhansali directorial has begun its stupendous run at the Indian box office. The movie has witnessed fantabulous numbers within two days of release and is expected to continue its run in the opening weekend.
