When Simmba and Sanju come together, a film anticipation is born! 2018 has seen a climb in the Bollywood ladder with different movie-experiences such as Andhadhun, Stree, and box-office hits like Simmba and Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju. Filmmakers are, however, not going to let 2018 have the win. And this new excitement for 2019 sprang with talks of two Bollywood biggest stars, Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor coming together for a Rohit Shetty, Andaz Apna Apna remake.
After wooing the audience with his charm in devious characters like Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat and the potboiling police officer in Simmba, fans have every reason to be excited for another big Ranveer Singh delight.
In an interview to a daily, the actor said, "It's critical for Hindi film business that the newer generation of stars like Ranbir [Kapoor] and I take forward the work that our seniors have put in. They have built the eco-system of the business, and it's heartening to see our efforts paying off. Our numbers are respectable so far."
When Ranbir was asked about Rohit Shetty's comment to cast him and Ranbir in the remake of Andaz Apna Apna, he said, "I think it's a cult film and I think it's going to be difficult to live up to it. If you are planning to make the sequel of Andaz Apna Apna, you have got a big responsibility as it's one of those timeless comedies. And yes, I would love to collaborate with Ranbir as he is one of my favourite actors. There have been several opportunities and I hope one of them in near future materializes. It will be a very enriching experience working with Ranbir."
Ranveer Singh meanwhile is all prep up for his next release, Gully Boy where he will be seen as an Eminem incarnation with his flair in rapping alongside Alia Bhatt.
