Rumour mills are churning that the two male leads of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor don't see eye to eye on professional matters. Woes begun for Sanjay Leela Bhansali even before the shooting for the movie kicked off. While Shahid gave more air to the rumour when he admitted that he felt "like an outsider" on the sets of Padmaavat on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee with Karan.
Recently, the Simmba actor emphasized that there is complete unanimity between Shahid and him. "We were very good together, yaar. I think we had a good time shooting for the film. Creatively fulfilling," he said.
While Ranveer has cleared the air around their spat, people believe something is cooking up between the two.
Years ago, on Karan Johar's chat show, Ranveer had said that he could do Shahid's role in Kaminey better than him and Shahid even the score saying that he could have done Alauddin Khilji’s role with a different approach.
Shahid's recent comment on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee With Karan' set the tongues wagging where he wished for more equality in screen time in the film (Padmaavat). The actor also opened up about the alleged rivalry with Ranveer while shooting and said "It's really a big film and the stakes were very high for everybody. So, everybody wanted to have their A-game on. Everybody was doing everything it takes to kind of be in the centre of the limelight. I'm sure everybody felt a bit threatened by each other at some level, it's natural."
Though he tried to put some sand on it by saying, "I would definitely want to do a film with Ranveer Singh again."
While all the three actors, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh received a fair share of appreciation from audience and critics, some ice-cold vibes were evident.
As Ranveer Singh has rubbished rumours of a fallout with Shahid Kapoor, we would love to see them both sharing screen-space with each other and entertaining us again!
