Vicky Kaushal starrer URI: The Surgical Strike which is creating immense buzz among the movie bugs has fascinated none other than Simmba’s Ranveer Singh. It was during the trailer launch of the Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film Gully Boy. The Padmaavat star gave a shout out to Vicky Kaushal starrer URI in a unique way, “Aye Vicky ki aarahi hai URI, deikhna hai zaruri”.

URI: The Surgical Strike is based on the 2016 surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army in retaliation to an alleged terror attack in the Kashmir region of Uri on September 18, 2016. 19 soldiers were martyred, several injured in the attack.

Earlier, the makers of Uri had released the first song from the movie ‘Challa’ which will surely pump in some patriotism in the audience and will showcase the hardships and the training of the Indian soldiers which they go through as they guard our nation.

The song ‘Challa’ will feature Vicky Kaushal’s journey of creating a whole team to conduct the surgical attack where he could be seen leading a team to avenge the killings of his fellow comrades. Mohit Raina, Yami Gautam and Kirti Kulhari also appears in some of the scenes.

On the other hand Ranveer Singh’s latest release and Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture Simmba crossed Rs 200 crore mark after 12 days of its release and became third film of 2018 to do so. Simmba has collected Rs 202.83 crore in 12 days after adding Rs 6.03 crore collection on Tuesday. The movie crossed Rs 50 crore mark in its first weekend and Rs 100 crore in just five days of its release. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba is a remake of 2015 Telugu film Temper which was also a commercial hit.

Produced by RSVP movies and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.
