Revealed: The mystery behind Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad!

Sohum Shah’s upcoming film ‘Tumbbad’ has been creating quite a buzz with fans curious to know the meaning of the title. And the mystery meaning has been revealed by sources close to the makers.

Tumbbad is a remote village in Konkan region of Maharashtra.  The makers of the film have gone overboard and had created the era of 1930 and 1940’s in a real village.

Giving glimpses of fantasy, action, frights, and scares, Tumbbad is a horrific and thrilling experience that questions the roots of human greed while providing entertainment of the purest kind, the makers claim.

The trailer of the film shows Tumbbad as an interesting mixture of mythology, fantasy and thriller.

Aanand L Rai defines the film as a genre-defining film.

Tumbbad is an Eros International and Aanand L Rai’s presentation and a Sohum Shah Films in association with Colour a Yellow Productions. Co-produced by Filmi Väst and Filmgate Films. Tumbbad is set for October 2018 release.
