As biopics are becoming the bread and butter of Bollywood filmmakers, prominent film producer in the Marathi industry Riteish Deshmukh too aspired to make one based on the life of the former Chief minister of Maharashtra and his father, late Vilasrao Deshmukh. The actor turned however is looking for a suitable script that can give form to his father’s career and journey and as soon as he finds one will starts ideating on it.
Riteish in a conversation with IANS called his father’s journey a miraculous one. He said "It is one of those miraculous journeys of a human being. He started off as a sarpanch (head of Gram Sabha) and went on to become Chief Minister of a state. Many a time, people have written scripts about his life and asked me to make a film but it is not easy,"
Considering the subject is ‘not easy’ Riteish further went on to say that he doesn’t want to compromise on the objectivity of the subject and go on to show only the good things about him shunning the controversies. He however, also feels that anyone doing the film except him will make him feel that they have not been able to capture the person he was and the things that have indeed happened. “So, there will always be a difference in opinions when you make films on such subjects” said the actor.
Vilasrao Dagadojirao was an Indian politician who served two terms as the Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra. He also served in the Union cabinet as the Minister of Scine and Technology and Minister of Earth Sciences.

Although Riteish wants to work on the biopic, he doesn’t feel that it is happening in near future. The actor will be next seen in Baaghi 3 alongside Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor. The movie is set for March 06 release at theaters.
