Prabhas' Saaho has started courting controversy just a day after its release. After Diet Sabya now Lisa Ray has accused Saaho of plagiarism. The 'Water' actress alleged how the makers of "Saaho" has stolen the artwork of contemporary artist Shilo Shiv Suleman for their song "Baby Won't You Tell Me"

Lisa Ray shared the two pictures, one of the original artwork and the other of a similar image featuring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor's photos on it.
Lisa wrote: "…We need to stand up and speak up. To hold up a mirror to these makers to make them understand THIS IS NOT RIGHT. It's come to light that big-budget film production has ripped off one of Shilo's original creations. This is NOT inspiration but blatant theft. In no world, is this acceptable. The production did not contact the creator, asking her permission or offer to collaborate or offering a credit. Nothing. This is not right."
Holding the producers accountable, the Dobaara actress added, "I believed the Hindi film industry was evolving necessarily past stealing storylines and so called inspiration, but the producers of Shahoo have obviously not gotten the memo when it comes to art. Here's the thing. Creators are worthy of worship. What they produce are more lasting and precious so than all the other ‘things' that can be taken away. Let's hold these producers accountable for their infuriating, dishonourable action."
Lisa ended the note with a question, "How would you feel if a thief slid into your home and took away your most prized possessions? Your heart. Your soul. And your livelihood."
The makers of Saaho are yet to react to this.

Earlier infamous Bollywood critic Diet Sabya taking a dig at Saaho and its huge budget accused, filmmakers "Didn’t find the budget to produce original artwork for poster."
After pointing out the ‘similarities’ by the critic a lot of netizens have also questioned as to why credit was not given to Shilo Shiv Suleman calling it ‘350 crores of copying’. ‘It was just an inspiration LoL , it’s good that they are using the art but man , at least give credit to the artist who has put their blood and sweat into it. Yuck’ another commented.

The artist whose artwork is in question also raised concern on the alleged plagiarism. "I’m quite certain it was intended for me to create this installation. I’m certain that the sand storms, the dust, the rose-pink clouds, the thunderstorms gathered around it intentionally, for me. What happens when that story gets taken without your permission? I am known by my creation." shared Shilo Shiv Suleman.

While the inspiration of the song where Shraddha tailing behind Prabhas amidst a desert with rose pink clouds in their romantic number ‘Baby Won’t You Tell Me’, remains unclear or even if it 'copied' so to say, one must comply to the fact that the similarities are very much plausible.
Saaho, helmed by Sujeeth has released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil in theatres across the country today and earned rave review from critics. The action-thriller also stars Evelyn Sharma, Mandira Bedi and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
