Taimur Ali Khan, who is a national obsession since his birth because he is getting used to being in the limelight at such a young age. Aged just about two, he has a staggering fan base who always keep themselves updated about his whereabouts and the paparazzi never miss out on clicking him at any event or even a casual outing.
During a promotional event for his recently released film Baazaar, the Dil Chahta Hai actor expressed concern over the growing paparazzi culture in India. He wondered how people could be so interested in his two-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan’s life.
With media paps hovering around him all the time, Saif revealed that every film producer he is working with half-jokingly had tried to cash in on Taimur's popularity. Saif joked that Kareena has told him to not be so cheap and sell his son. But, Saif further quipped, that he is open to all nappy ads for Taimur.
Here's what he said, Every producer I am working with is half-jokingly say, "Haha can we put him (for promotions)". My wife (Kareena Kapoor Khan) says, "Don't be so cheap. You can't sell your son (Taimur). I am like, "Why not? Let's sell him." Seriously yaar, he is anyway there on the internet. I am just using this platform to say if anybody has any good nappy ads or anything... at a very reasonable price...it's not reasonable, it's quite expensive actually. And, I won't give him the money also. I'll give him some cash for his education, I am already giving it to him. And I'll spend the rest!
Saif's co-star from Baazaar, Chitrangda Singh instantly quipped “On what?”
To which Saif replied, “On Swiss vacations!”
Reacting to people’s never-ending interest in Taimur’s life, Saif said “On one level, it is nice that he makes people laugh and smile; but on another level, why is so much attention given to a kid? Why are we so interested in a little kid so much? I don’t understand it”.
Time and again, Taimur has taken social media by storm with his adorable pictures from a play date, vacations with his parents and casual outings enjoying a walk or a sport with his dad Saif. And each time, he has melted thousands of hearts with his innocence and cute looks.
Saif Ali Khan's recent film Baazaar has received a mixed response from the critics and has opened on slow note earning a low Rs 3.07 crore on its opening day.
The actor has been a part of films like Hum Tum, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Salaam Namaste, Omkara and Race. Of late, he has featured in movies like Happy Ending, Rangoon, Chef and Kaalakandi. The actor is one of the early Bollywood biggie who has migrated to Netflix with his powerful stint in Sacred Games.
