Saif Ali Khan's upcoming movie 'Kaalakaandi', which created a buzz for the actor's never seen before crazy avatar, has been postponed for release now. The movie which was slated to release on September 8 and now been postponed for an indefinite time.
According to the media reports 'Kaalakaandi' release has been shifted owing to the cuts suggested by Censor Board's previous chief Pahlaj Nihalani. Talking about the same, the 'Kaalakaandi' producers released a statement saying, “It has been decided to postpone the release (of Kaalakaandi) to be able to have sufficient time to complete the censor process as CBFC has suggested cuts. A new date shall be announced shortly.”
The movie marks the directorial debut of "Delhi Belly" writer Akshat Verma and its teaser was recently unveiled.
Produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Ashi Dua Sara of Flying Unicorn, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raz, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in a special appearance.
Apart from 'Kaalakaandi', Saif Ali Khan is also busy shooting for Raja Krishna Menon's 'Chef' which is a remake of Hollywood film of the same name, along with 'Bazaar' and web series titled 'Sacred Games'.
