Saif Ali Khan won’t be a part of Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal sequel starring daughter Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aayan. With the Sara-Kartik talk for some time now when rumours surfaced that dad Saif Ali Khan had been roped in to play not Sara’s dad but Kartik’s dad fans couldn’t be more than looking forward to the chemistry of the trio onscreen. However, official sources by Bollywood Hungama now maintains that there is no truth to the report.
The Nawab according to Bollywood Hungama though clarified his best wish for the two young stars denied the claims of having any part in the movie, “I’d honestly want to play every role provided it’s interesting enough and if the time permitted it. Though Imtiaz was very kind to offer me a part in the sequel of Love Aaj Kal, I haven’t signed the film contrary to the rumours. It’s a lovely movie and I’m very excited in particular that Sara Ali Khan is working with Imtiaz Ali, I wish both the young stars, Sara and Kartik, the best” Said quotes.
Imtiaz Ali’s movie, which reportedly has been named Aaj Kal stars Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan and is believed to be a sequel of the 2009 film Love Aaj Kal, which surprisingly had also starred Saif Ali Khan alongside Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film hits the theatres next year on Valentine’s day.
