Saif Ali Khan To Be Replaced By This Actor In Bunty Aur Babli 2? Deets Inside

Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee starrer Bunty Aur Babli will get a second inning is no news now but the star cast that will be a part of this film is quite intriguing. It was initially reported that while Rani Mukerji would be retained from the original cast, Saif Ali Khan would play the lead opposite her in the second installment.

However, it is now being reported that Saif has been replaced by R. Madhavan for the film.  A source informed Bollywood Hungama, “After Saif informed the makers that he wanted to step out of Bunty Aur Babli 2.0, they were on the lookout for a suitable actor, and Madhavan fit the bill perfectly. He loved the script and came on board immediately. The film went on floors last week.”

Apart from R Madhavan and Rani, the much-awaited sequel will also star Siddhant Chaturvedi of Gully Boy fame and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles.

Bunty Aur Babli, was woven around two small-town misfits Rakesh Trivedi (Abhishek) and Vimmi Saluja (Rani) who dream of becoming rich and famous and and to reach their aim turn to a life of fraud and become famous con artists. The movie also featured megastar Amitabh Bachchan in a lead role. 

The film is going to be directed by debutant director Varun V Sharma who has worked on earlier movies like Kill Dill (2014), Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) in the past and also had written Salman Khan’s Bharat. The shooting of the film started last week in Mumbai.
