Manav Kaul is all set to play Parineeti Chopra’s onscreen coach in the upcoming Saina Nehwal biopic. The actor took to Instagram to share the first look and it has already left us excited for the film. Alongside the pictures, he wrote, ''My first look as Saina Nehwal's Coach #SainaNehwalBiopic ... hard working @parineetichopra as Saina Nehwal... Directed by #AmoleGupte Produced by @itsbhushankumarofficial @tsearies.''
Manav has been training hard for months for his role. Talking to Mumbai Mirror, he said, ''My stamina was low, I’d fall down after just 10 minutes of playing, feeling like my heart would jump out of my body. But, Eshan was very patient and I learned a lot from him." Manav Kaul also revealed that his character is not based on a specific coach but is an amalgamation of Saina Nehwal's multiple coaches.
Talking about working with Parineeti Chopra, Manav said, ''She is great fun and I have always admired her work, especially her performance in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. She is always positive and energetic, and that is contagious. I didn’t meet Parineeti much before the shoot and that helped because there was tension between Saina and her coach in real life and that translated on screen.''
Manav Kaul is expected to complete shooting for his scenes by the year-end.
Meanwhile, Parineeti suffered a neck injury during her extensive training session for the biopic. Sharing a picture of herself wearing a neck cast, Pariniti Chopra wrote, "Dude. Me and the entire team of Saina have been taking so much care that I shouldn't get an injury, but shit happens. Will rest it as much as I can before I can start playing badminton again. #SainaNehwalBiopic." We're hoping Parineeti recovers soon enough to get back into training.
Apart from this, she will also be seen in The Girl on the Train in London recently.
