Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla 2013 starrer Tere Naam is returning for a sequel! Be prepared to see the middle-partition hairdo made famous by Radhe Mohan hit the streets again, because according to reports director Satish Kaushik has confirmed the sequel of the film. ‘’The sequel is a new story, Satish finished writing the script recently. It is a love story revolving around a gangster and will be set in North India’’ a source close to the development revealed to the daily.
When the tabloid reached to the director to get his confirmation, Kaushik reportedly gave a ‘yes’ say, "Yes it’s true, I am making Tere Naam 2which is a love story. That’s all I can say for now," he said. Pune Mirror also reports that the sequel to Tere Naam will go on floors by the end of this year.
Tere Naam, a remake of the Tamil film Sethu, a tale of star-crossed lovers Radhe (Salman Khan) and Nirjara (Bhumika Chawla) also marked the Hindi film debut of Bhumika Chawla. The movie was hailed by many as one of the post powerful performances of Salman onscreen. We get to see Salman in the throes of a mentally unstable man after a brutal attack renders him mentally unstable. The movie ends with a painful stop for bothe of the stars with Nirjara committing suicide and Radhe renouncing the world and returning to the ashram where he was being treated for his deteriorating mental health.
While the confirmation of Tere Naam sequel sealed, it is unknown if Salman will return for the Satish Kaushik movie. Salman, meanwhile is awaiting the release of Ali Abbas Zafar's period drama Bharat, a remake of Korean drama Ode To My Father. The movie which is already scoring goals with its trailer and poster releases also features Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Sunil Grover and Tabu in key roles. The movie hit the theatres this Eid.
