Remember the woman at a Kolkata railway station who went viral with her impossibly soothing voice singing a rendition of Lata Mangeshkar’s Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai and then got a makeover by the admins of a popular Facebook page? 

Seems like the internet has cast its magic spell and now the lady has reportedly received a luxurious house worth of 55 lakhs by Salman Khan. Apart from this, it is also believed that Ranu to also lend her voice for a song in Salman’s upcoming flick ‘Dabangg’.

Earlier, famous music composer Himesh Reshammiya gave him a chance to do playback in his upcoming film ‘Happy Hardy and Heer’. In this, Ranu sang a song called ‘Teri Meri Kahani’ for Himesh. 

After her soulful voice went video, Ranu Mandol, was invited to sets of the reality show, Superstar Singer, by the makers. There, Bollywood's favourite music composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya who has provided a launching pad to many wannabe singers was so impressed by her voice that he promised to record a song with her. 

Talking about his decision to give Ranu a chance, Himesh had earlier reminiscing a promise made to Salman Khan's father Salim Khan years ago said, the actor-producer had once him that if he ever comes across a very talented person, he should keep that person close to him. Himesh described Ranu's voice as 'God's gift' which should be shared with the world.
