Salman Khan starrer Race 3 crossed Rs 100 crore mark in its first weekend. Despite receiving mixed to negative reviews from the critics and the audience, the movie managed to churn out well at the box-office.
The movie becomes Salman’s fourth film to cross Rs 100 crore mark in just three days after Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Film critic and trade analyst took his Twitter handle to share the box-office collection of Remo D’Souza directorial venture.
Race 3 collected Rs 29.17 crores on Friday, Rs 38.14 crore on Satuday and Rs 39.16 crore on Sunday, making it a total of Rs 106.47 crore.
Despite bad reviews because of lack of plot and logic, the movie is running successfully at the box-office because of only one reason, Salman Khan.
Race 3, which is the third instalment of the popular Race franchise also features Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, Bobby Deol and Jacqueline Fernandez in pivotal roles.
Helmed by Remo D’Souza, the movie is expected to cross Rs 200 crore mark in the coming few days until the release of Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju
