Salman Khan's 'Tubelight' has been the superstar's Eid gift for his fans and indeed a much awaited release of the year. However, the box office collection of the movie turned out to be a real surprise for everyone as 'Tubelight' seemed to be struggling to enter Rs 100 crore club.
Reportedly, this Kabir Khan directorial took almost a week to enter the coveted club which is said to be a parameter to measure the success of a movie.
Although, the collection of 'Tubelight' continues to linger at the box office, the Salman-starrer has finally managed to create a box office record. 'Tubelight' has become Salman's eleventh movie to enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club, which is the highest for any superstar in Bollywood.
Even the 'Baadshah' of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan has seven entries in club along with Akshay Kumar, while Mr Perfectionist Aaamir has five movies in the Rs 100 crore club.
Talking about 'Tubelight', the movie is Kabir Khan and Salman Khan's third collaboration and is based on India-China's 1962 war. The movie also stars Sohail Khan, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and late veteran actor Om Puri in key roles.
